Full-time Position at Art Consulting Firm (Hollywood)

Art consulting firm based in Los Angeles seeks to fill a full-time position, Monday-Friday.

About Us:
Coordinating closely with developers, architects and high end design firms, Lendrum Fine Art provides comprehensive art programs for public projects, hotels, and corporate offices, as well as private collectors. Working on diverse national and international projects, our extensive library includes artists working in all media.

Requirements for Applicant:
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Exceptional computer skills, including proficiency in PC, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); Photoshop; Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Acrobat
• Initiative to follow through with pending items, anticipating questions and creating solutions
• Meticulous organizational skills, efficient and detail-oriented
• The ability to work independently, prioritize work and handle multiple tasks with set deadlines
• Knowledge of contemporary art, particularly the California and Los Angeles art scene
• Reliable means of transportation

Responsibilities of Employment:
• Research new artists in all media within specific and diverse project guidelines
• Prepare client proposals and presentations for both small scale and complex programs
• Facilitate purchase orders for project procurement
• Coordinate framing, shipping and installation
• Curate occasional installations for client presentations
• Maintain contact with clients, artists, galleries, and vendors
• Field new artist submissions and maintain artist reference library
• Manage art consignment inventory including receiving, packing and shipping
• Sourcing fabrication and manufacturing components for hospitality projects
• File, fax, photocopy, scan, print, label, phones, office supplies, errands

Advantageous Additional Experience:
• Use of AutoCAD or similar programs
• Design experience, ability to read and interpret floor plans
• Experience with Graphic Arts, Art History, or Interior Design

Compensation: Compensation will be negotiated based on candidate’s experience and skill set

Start date: Immediately

Interviews:
For second interviews of short listed candidates, the process will include research on a mock art consulting project during which time candidates should reveal abilities relating to research, presentation, organization, and aesthetic range.
